Hello pride!

My name is Rafael Cordero and I'm proud and excited to be the Dean of Students for Potomac Middle School. I have received my Bachelors in History with a concentration in Education and my Masters in Professional and Secondary Education with a concentration in Instructional Technology from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania. Afterwards, I received my Administration Certification from Radford University.

I have spent the first 7 years of my career here at Potomac and I have the same mission today that I had when I got here which is to help make Potomac Middle School a place where kids feel safe and secure in their learning journey. Whether I was acting as a teacher, coach, athletic director or behind the scenes in one of our behavior based committees, I have always been trying to build a culture of understanding and camaraderie where both students and staff can come together to help learning happen. In my new role, I feel uniquely positioned to make sure that students and staff are heard and supported while upholding the learning environment.
