Mrs. Long's Page

                                                        Assistant Principal, Mrs. Long

With over 18 years of experience in the field of education, Mrs. Long has dedicated her career to special education, working as a speech-language pathologist across elementary, middle, and high schools. As an Army spouse and mother of two, she takes pride in her family. Her daughter, Lauren (formerly a Potomac Panther), is in her third year of medical school,  while her son, Langston, is a graduate student at the  University of South Florida.

Mrs. Long is an alumnus of Florida State University, a place that holds special significance for her as her husband, a former football player under the legendary Bobby Bowden, has been her partner for 33 years. In her leisure time, Mrs. Long enjoys reading, shopping, attending her son's football games, and exploring different cultures through travel.

Professionally, Mrs. Long has served as the Assistant Principal at Pace West for two years, and as an administrative intern at Gainesville Middle and Marsteller Middle Schools for two years. She is honored to be stepping up as  Assistant Principal at Potomac Middle School, where she strives to earn smiles from students and staff. Mrs. Long believes that if Staff, Students and Parents work together as one, we will get the job done.
