Dear Parents and Guardians,

This month, we’re thrilled to kick off our annual March Madness Competition, with a special focus on Lexia, SuccessMaker, and Attendance. Students will have opportunities to earn rewards for putting in extra academic practice and showing up every day—on time and ready to learn—during one of the most important stretches of the school year. Now is not the time for early vacations; we want our Panthers here each day, fully engaged and working toward their goals.

We also want to celebrate some outstanding accomplishments within our school community: We are incredibly proud of our Culinary Arts Club students for taking 1st place at the Real Foods Culinary Challenge! Their winning dish—BBQ tofu sliders—will be featured on the PWCS lunch menu. What an amazing honor!!Our Robotics Team, Team P, finished as tournament finalists at the State Championship and has officially qualified for the World Championship! This is the highest finish in Potomac’s history and the first time we’ve earned a performance award at States. We cannot wait to cheer them on as they represent us on the world stage.

Testing time is upon us. Our 8th graders took their Writing SOL (IRW) on March 18th and we are preparing to launch SOL lunch bunches, after school reviews, Saturday school, and virtual evening reviews, so stay tuned for updates on our full scale SOL review plan.

As we look forward to warmer weather, we continue to ask for your support in partnering with us on student concerns, behavior expectations, and overall well-being. Working together helps keep our school safe, focused, and supportive for all.

Thank you for showing true Panther Pride each and every day. We appreciate our families and all you do to support our students.
