Good Evening Potomac Families. As we begin to head into our Spring Break, I wanted to provide you with some information that will be beneficial to everyone. It is my hope that everyone can take a moment during the break to relax and rest before we enter the fourth and final Marking Period.


End of the Marking Period-The marking period ended on Friday, March 26, 2021. Students who had assignments to submit to teachers should have done so prior to the closing of the marking period.


Meal Kit Distribution- Due to the upcoming Spring Break, Our School’s Meal Kit distribution will be paused over Spring Break. The Meal Kit Distribution will resume on Tuesday, April 6, 2021.


Spring Break-  No assignments will be given during the break. The Office will be closed March 29- April 2. The Office will re-open on Monday, April 5, 2021.


Students Return to School- School re-opens for students on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. 6th Grade Students Encore will be a Burgundy Week.


Immunization Update- All children are required to be adequately vaccinated for entry to school. Please check with your child's/ children's physician to see which vaccines they require.


 Parents who have been contacted regarding this are being asked to get this done immediately.  Return updated forms/doctor's notes to our school nurse promptlyFor more information please click the link below.


SOL Update- Parents should have received information from the Prince William County School Division regarding SOLs. Students in 6th and 7th grade will participate in the Reading and Math SOLs. 8th grade students will participate in the Math, Reading, and Science SOLs. 8th grade students will also participate in an Alternate Assessment for Social Studies. The testing Window will be from April 26- June 4, 2021.


Parents of Virtual Only Students- You will be receiving a link regarding Spring SOL Testing for 2020-2021. If you have more than one child at Potomac Middle School, that is attending school virtually only, then you will need  to complete a separate survey for each child. Survey must be completed by April 5, 2021.



Transfer Request Deadline- If you attend Potomac Middle School on a Transfer request, or you are on transfer at another Middle School, the transfer deadline is Friday, April 30, 2021.
