The following questions will help you think about the important parts of each chapter.
Chapter 1
• What do you imagine it means when someone is “released”?
• What are some clues that Jonas’s community is different from the one in which you live?

Chapter 2
• How would you feel not to have your own individual birthday? • If you were attending the Ceremony of Twelve with Jonas, what Assignment do you think the Elders would select for you?

After reading this article, answer the following reading response questions. Remember to use reading strategies. For your reading response ask questions such as, Who is this article about?What is the title about? What is the author telling me about this topic? Where is this taking place? When did this happen? Why is this happening? And how is this happening? How do I feel about what I just read? Did I learn anything new?  If yes, what have you learned? If no, why?

Dear  Reading Strategies Students, 

Today, 4-24-2020, at (10:00 a.m. -11:30 a.m), I am available to work with you. Please meet with me on the "Teams," virtual website. 

My virtual website, "Teams," is working now. I have updated and posted reading assignments for everyone.  Also,I have sent out email invitation for you all to meet with me on Friday, April 24th; starting at 10:00 a:m, on the Teams virtual website.

Please feel free to email any questions you may have concerning the reading assignments.

It is my wish that we make the best use of this platform medium. I hope all is well and you are all taking care of yourselves. I have emailed everyone via the Hub today. I have posted assignments and journal response questions for students to complete.
Moreover, as we navigate our lives through these unprecedented times, it is my hope that my students remember to keep up with your daily reading. I am attaching some reading articles and reading response questions to use in your writing journals.
