We are the Panther-Bots, the Potomac Middle school VEX robotics competition club.  The Panther-Bots are divided into 4 teams, consisting of 4 - 5 members.  Each team is responsible for keeping an engineering notebook, building and programming their robot to play this year's game, and participating in all robotic events.

Team Meeting Days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and/or Thursday from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.  Additional meetings may be scheduled when teams are preparing for tournaments.

Team meetings will be held virtually until such time as in person meetings are allowed.  Our team currently holds weekly Zoom meetings on Thursdays at 3:00pm.

Robotics events and tournaments take place on Saturdays and/or Sundays.  A plan is being developed for PWCS teams to compete virtually.

New members are excepted in early Fall.  Space is limited.  Application online by clicking the link on this page.

Competitive robotics is a year round sport and lasts through parts of all of the sport seasons.  If you are in Robotics you may not be able to participate in any other sporting activities at school.

Beginning with the 2019-20 school year, High School students can now Letter in competitive robotics as part of the Virginia High School Sports League.

The PantherBots must be committed to excellence, not only in robotics, but in their academics as well!

The PTMS Robotics Team will hold a virtual interest meeting prior to the beginning of the 2021-22 school year.  Date and time of virtual meeting to be announced in late July.

Students interested in joining the Robotics Team are asked complete the PTMS Pantherbots Application 2021-22.  Click the link located on this page.

We look forward to meeting with you and introducing you to the world of competitive robotics!
