Greetings Parents, Staff, and Students of Potomac Middle School,
My name is Latanya Haskins-Ladson, and it is with distinct honor and great pleasure to have the opportunity to serve the Potomac Middle School community in its educational endeavors as Administrative Intern.
I have been a special educator and educational leader in both Fairfax and Prince William Counties for a number of years. In addition to teaching responsibilities, I have served in the capacity of Special Education Department Chair, Mentor, Lead Mentor, Summer School Principal, and 21st Century Community Learning Center Coordinator.
I graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. I earned my Master’s degree in Special Education from George Mason University, and later earned my endorsement in Educational Leadership from the University of Mary Washington.
I was born in Lynchburg, VA, raised in Monroe, VA and graduated from Amherst County High School. I am married, have a two year old son, and reside in Woodbridge, Virginia.
I am overwhelmed with excitement, and looking forward to new, educational experiences. It is my belief that all students can learn to their potential, given a nurturing, learning environment that is data driven. It is my goal to combine my initiative, experience, and compassion to make positive contributions to students and the Potomac Middle School community.
